Which Browning light is the brightest?
Some Browning lights are very bright -- and meet or exceed expectations at every level. But others are less bright by design. Each light is engineered to have the best combination of brightness and battery life. In addition, many Browning lights have wide-angle LED arrays and others are more focused beams -- and some have both. This affects both brightness and perception of brightness.
Brightness is generally scaled with the LUMENS rating. An accepted definition of lumens is “a unit of luminous flux in the International System of Units, that is equal to the amount of light given out through a solid angle by a source of one candela intensity radiating equally in all directions.”
In short, brightness.
Importantly, the brightest of Browning lights change often as technology improves. So you will need to check the specifications for each light on the product pages for current specifications.
Currently, the brightest Browning lights are:
- FLASHLIGHT: Skyway (3715005) 2200 lumens
- HEADLAMP: Blackout 6V (3713340) 860 lumens
- SPOTLIGHT: High Noon Pro WA+ (3717774) 1800 lumens
This brightness information is accurate as of April 2020.
