Become One with the Citori 725 Over and Under Shotgun.
From the field to the range, the Citori 725 was designed to deliver top-level performance and the instinctual, "one with the gun" experience that shotgunners crave. Although it shares a number of important features with the best-selling Citori, the Citori 725 features a low-profile receiver that puts your eye closer to the axis of the barrels for superior hand/eye coordination and improves recoil control for more accurate follow-up shots. The low-profile receiver also facilitates a lighter feel, faster swing and promotes a smooth follow through.
Of course, this fine over and under shotgun was destined for performance, tracing its heritage beyond the Citori and all the way back to John M. Browning’s highly regarded B25 Superposed. Like its predecessors, the Citori 725 has been engineered with the same renowned durability of generations of Browning over and unders. Packed into the low-profile receiver is the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design that has led generations of shotgunners to refer to Browning over and unders as the shotguns that wear in, not out. But that's where the similarities end. The Citori 725 also has the advantage of the Fire Lite Trigger. Unlike triggers that require recoil to set the hammer for the second barrel, it is a mechanical trigger design that offers immediate second shot capability with a lighter pull, crisp break and reduced overtravel.
The Citori 725 doesn't miss in the appearance department, either. High-level craftsmanship results in exquisite looks and a level of fit and finish that produces a shotgun you'll be proud to call your own.

Features of the Citori 725.
LOW PROFILE RECEIVER
A low profile receiver improves recoil control, reduces muzzle jump and places the front hand closer to the bore line for superior hand-eye coordination and pointability. These factors contribute to the “one with the gun” feeling of the Citori 725.
FULL-WIDTH HINGE PIN
The monoblock hinges on a strong full-width hinge pin that is significantly stronger and more durable than trunnion designs.
TAPERED LOCKING BOLT
A transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt fits into the monoblock recess and self-adjusts for wear to keep the action locked-up tight.
FIRE LITE TRIGGER
This mechanical trigger offers immediate second shot capability without using recoil to set the next shot. Provides improved performance with reduced take-up, a crisp break and less overtravel.
STEEL RECEIVER
Receivers (except Feather models) are machined from steel and feature either a traditional blued finish or a silver nitride finish that offers improved wear resistance, increased fatigue strength and added protection against corrosion. Read more...
FEATHER TECHNOLOGY
Feather technology replaces the steel receiver with a high quality alloy receiver to reduce weight by about one pound. Steel inserts are placed in the alloy receiver at the breech face and hinge surfaces to retain long-term durability.
ERGO BALANCE
Incredible balance in the hands facilitates a light feel, fast swing and promotes a smoother follow through.
PRECISION BARRELS
Browning shotgun barrels are noted for their quality construction that emphasizes durability with features that optimize shot pattern performance.
CHOKE TUBES
12 and 20 gauge models receive the Invector-DS Interchangeable Choke Tube System and 28 gauge and .410 bore models benefit from the Standard Invector system.
FLOATING RIB
A floating rib prevents point of impact shifts caused by barrel heating as it allows the rib and barrel to expand independently.
POINT OF IMPACT
A big part of what makes the Citori 725 shotgun line so versatile are the different points of impact (POI) on different models. The flat 50/50 POI is preferred when a target presentation can come from any direction, like a target soaring in from overhead on a sporting clays course or a pheasant erupting from the brush. The versatile 60/40 POI is great for all clay target sports and hunting as it allows the shooter to float the target slightly to improve the sight picture. Shotguns with a 70/30 POI are more suited to trap, where the higher POI allows a rising target to be visible when the trigger is pulled.
CHROME CHAMBERS
All Citori 725 shotguns feature chrome chambers for increased durability, corrosion resistance and easier cleaning.
INFLEX II RECOIL PAD
The Inflex II recoil pad uses directional deflection to send the comb down and away from the face, reducing felt recoil for greater shooting comfort and allowing faster, more accurate follow-up shots. Read More...
TRIPLE TRIGGER SYSTEM
Featured on target models, the adjustable Triple Trigger System lets the shooter set the trigger shoe in one of three positions to fine-tune finger-to-trigger reach. Three interchangeable trigger shoes are included.
SAFETY/BARREL SELECTOR
Placed within easy reach on the top tang, the safety and barrel selector switch is intutive to operate and allows you to select which barrel fires first.
ADJUSTABLE COMB
Certain models feature an adjustable comb to customize stock dimensions such as cast and drop. An adjustable comb will help you achieve a perfect fit to your shotgun and a repeatable mount that instinctively puts your eye consistently in alignment with the sights.
PRO BALANCE SYSTEM
Citori 725 Pro models include the Pro Balance System that allows the shooter to add or remove weights from the stock and fine-tune the balance point for a perfect mount and swing.
PRO-FIT ADJUSTABLE COMB
Citori 725 Pro models include the Pro-Fit Adjustable Comb to customize stock dimensions such as cast and drop. An adjustable comb will help you achieve a perfect fit to your shotgun and a repeatable mount that instinctively puts your eye consistently in alignment with the sights.
PORTED BARRELS
Barrel porting reduces recoil and muzzle climb. Additional porting is added to the bottom barrel, as it is usually the first barrel fired, to help pick up a second target.
HIGH-POST RIB
A high-rib is common to trap shotguns when clay targets come from below the shotgun's sight plane. Having the rib higher above the top barrel allows the shooter to see targets earlier. The high rib also allows the shooter to shoot from a more comfortable, upright stance.
The Browning Difference.
Whether you're on the range cruising to victory or swinging onto a covey of quail, the shot pattern your gun produces is vital. 12 and 20 gauge Citori 725 shotguns feature Total Barrel Dynamics – the combination of a lengthened Vector Pro forcing cone, Back-Bored Technology and the Invector interchangeable choke tube system – working in unison to optimize shot pattern performance. Each component of Total Barrel Dynamics plays a part to reduce shot deformation, improve pattern density, and put more pellets on the target.
VECTOR PRO FORCING CONE
The forcing cone is the tapered transition between the chamber and the bore that constricts the shot column. Vector Pro is superior because it has a gradual taper. The Vector Pro forcing cone reduces stress on the shot column as it moves into the bore to reduce pellet deformation for more uniform patterns and more pellets in the center of the pattern. Optimal bore diameter specifications maximize shot velocity and shot pattern performance. Read More...
INVECTOR-DS
“DS” stands for double-seal, our proprietary differential-banded brass seal. It compresses against the barrel wall to keep the choke tube threads clean, making installation and removal easier than any other muzzle thread system. Read More...
STANDARD INVECTOR
The Standard Invector interchangeable choke tube system offers consistent, dense shot patterns with the right constriction needed for the shooting situation. Read More...
