Browning located in scenic Mountain Green; Utah is searching for a Accounts Payable Clerk. Assists the Accounts Payable Manager and the Assistant Controller in the Finance Department by formulating daily cash flow reports, preparing monthly spreadsheet reports, following up with various banks on company accounts, maintaining Letter of Credit files.  Record daily foreign currency rates and prepare monthly report. Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all proprietary situations and documentation.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform all assistant duties for the Accounts Payable Manager and Assistant Controller.
  2. Make payment of vendor invoices within terms and cash discount dates.
  3. Coordinate printing of all accounts payable reports.
  4. Receive and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, verify and confirm validity of invoices and audit for use tax due.  Distribute invoice totals to assigned general ledger accounts.
  5. Work with other departments to ensure their timely approval of their invoices.
  6. File accounts payable vouchers.
  7. Accumulate and formulate daily cash flow report providing the Accounts Payable Manager and Assistant Controller with vital information for cash forecasts and information on daily bank balances.  Prepare a monthly view of bank activity.
  8. Record daily foreign currency rates.  Calculate and prepare Foreign Currency Exchange Rate report distributed monthly to management.
  9. Follow-up on critical bank communications concerning wire transfers, Letters of Credit, etc.
  10. Reconcile controlled disbursement monthly statement to the daily cash records to ensure either Browning or the banks made no errors on transfers. Reconcile controlled disbursement account to general ledger.
  11. Prepare all forms of information that concern corporate resolutions, bank signatories, funds transfer agreements, etc.

Import/Export Manager

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green; Utah is searching for an Import/Export Manager.  This position has responsibility for all activities related to in-bound and out-bound international freight.  Have a thorough knowledge of export procedures and associated U.S. Commerce Department, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, and ATF regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains shipment files, in accordance with Federal import/export regulations and company policies including the coordination of booking, documentation, and shipment routing per customer guidelines and country requirements.
  2. Coordinates foreign and domestic freight shipment logistics.
  3. Obtains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to interpret the concepts, principles, laws and regulations that apply to:
    • Harmonized tariff classification and the valuation of imported products; 
    • US Fish and Wildlife regulations and the completion of CITES and Lacey Act documentation; and
    • EAR (Export Administration) regulations and the application process for export licenses related to the shipment of firearms and outdoor products;
    • Customs regulations and the filing of export documentation;
    • C-TPAT validation and certification.
  4. Keeps up to date on current events such as changing tariffs, and regulation changes affecting recreational and sporting firearms.
  5. Coordinates product shipments with foreign affiliates of Browning.
  6. Reviews/analyzes carrier freight bills to ensure they are correct and coded properly for accounting prior to approval.
  7. Addresses inquiries regarding shipment delays due to Customs related issues.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
  9. This position works in office.

Basic Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree BA or BS or equivalent from four year college or technical school, or four to six years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with strong focus on import management;
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to obtain knowledge of, import/export regulations

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Customs and/or Foreign Trade Regulations
  • Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Office

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green; Utah is searching for a Quality Assurance Test Technician in the Quality Division.  Test and evaluate prototype firearms, design changes to existing models, production samples, and competitor products. Write Test & Evaluation reports on the findings to ensure the quality standards are maintained at the high level expected by our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Test finished products, components, or assemblies to verify adherence to specifications. 
  2. Ability to endure a high volume of repetitive shooting.
  3. Willingness to offer assistance to the Quality Manager on technical matters.
  4. Communicate and develop a positive relationship with internal and external employees and customers.
  5. Conform to strict standards and procedures. Be respectfully firm in communicating those standards to others involved in the processes.
  6. Assist with dimensional conformance inspections of components and assemblies.
  7. Some international and domestic travel may be required.
  8. All other duties as required/assigned.

FIREARMS EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of firearms, their classifications, action type/option, and some mechanical understanding. The employee must enjoy, support, and have a passion for the firearms industry.
